Navy Begins Final Soil Cleanup at Former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard Warehouse Site

The U.S. Navy has begun the final phase of soil cleanup at Parcel B-1, Installation Restoration Site 10, the site of a battery and electroplating warehouse (Building 123) at the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco. The warehouse was safely demolished last year to facilitate access to the contaminated soil for further cleanup activities - a crucial step toward revitalizing the site for future use.

Navy Awards Contract to Remove Six Buildings at Hunters Point Shipyard

SAN FRANCISCO – The Department of the Navy, Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program Management Office announced the award of a contract task order to ECC for building demolition at Hunters Point Shipyard for $28.4 million. ECC is headquartered in Burlingame, California. Six buildings on Parcel G will be removed as part of an initial phase of building demolition work. Building demolition was authorized in the fiscal year 2023 National Defense Authorization Act.

HPSCAC B&E Meeting, Hunters Point - September 11, 2024

The Navy announces the 'Hunters Point Shipyard Citizens Advisory Committee', B&E Meeting on September 11, 2024. No reservations are required. The Navy will be joined by members of the U.S. Small Business Administration, San Francisco District and NorCal APEX Accelerator to help local businesses get involved in federal contracts and subcontracting. Representatives from Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southwest (NAVFAC SW) Contracting Office and Office of Small Business Development will share information on the following topics:

1. Doing business with the federal government, with a focus on the NAVFAC SW contracting process
2. The Parcel G Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) N62473-19-D-1237 Request for Offer (Parcel G Building Demolition)
3. The new MACC Request for Quote (all remaining non-historic buildings)
