Former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard - Explanation of Significant Differences to the Final Record of Decision - Parcel G

This Explanation of Significant Difference (ESD) identifies updates to the Record of Decision (ROD) for Parcel G at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard (HPNS), San Francisco, California, undergoing environmental restoration in accordance with a Federal Facility Agreement (FFA) between the Department of the Navy (Navy) as the lead federal agency, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as the lead regulatory agency, and the State of California through the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and San Francisco Bay Region Regional Water Quality Control Board, (SFBRWQCB), collectively referred to as the FFA Signatories. The purpose of this ESD to document and communicate significant changes to the cost for implementing the remedy for radiologically impacted structures within Parcel G, specifically decontaminating, dismantling, and demolition.

Former Hunters Point NS, Final Record of Decision (ROD), Parcel F - September 2024

This Record of Decision (ROD) presents the selected remedy for Parcel F at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard (HPNS) in San Francisco, California. Parcel F is one of six parcels (Parcels A through F) originally designated for environmental restoration. Parcel F is composed of 443 acres of sediments that surround HPNS in San Francisco Bay.

Former Hunters Point NS, Fifth CERCLA Five Year Review Report Final - July 2024

The Final Fifth Five-Year Review for the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, which includes Installation Restoration (IR) Sites 7 and 18, and Parcels B-1, B-2, C, D-1, D-2, E, E-2, G, UC-1, UC-2, and UC-3, evaluates the in-process cleanups at these sites, in accordance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), as amended, and the National Oil and Hazardous Substances Pollution Contingency Plan. This document was finalized after significant collaboration with the Federal and State regulatory agencies to incorporate their concerns and perspectives.
