The United States Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Base Realignment and Closure Program Management Office (NAVFAC BRAC PMO), in conjunction with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MEDEP), is conducting a Sixth Five-Year Review for the Former Naval Air Station (NAS) Brunswick, located in Brunswick, Maine. The purpose of the Five-Year Review is to ensure that the selected remedies are effectively protecting human health and the environment as intended.

NAS Brunswick -- The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Base Realignment and Closure Office (NAVFAC BRAC PMO) announces a virtual meeting of the Former Naval Air Station (NAS) Brunswick Restoration Advisory Board (RAB). Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and in accordance with Maine state guidance we cannot safely convene our in-person RAB meeting at this time.

NAS Brunswick -- The Department of the Navy announces the availability for public comment of the Proposed Plan for the Former Picnic Pond Stormwater Retention System at the former Naval Air Station Brunswick, Maine. The plan was prepared as required by the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (also known as Superfund). The Former Picnic Pond Stormwater Retention System is located in the northeastern portion of the former base, north of Purinton Road and east of Orion Street.
