Public Notice for Five-Year Review, November 2020

Naval Complex Long Beach - The Department of the Navy (Navy) has completed the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) Five-Year Review for the former Long Beach Naval Complex (LBNC). The former LBNC includes the former Naval Station Long Beach and the former Long Beach Naval Shipyard, which are located on Terminal Island between the City of Long Beach and the San Pedro District of the City of Los Angeles. The Navy conducted the Five-Year Review in accordance with the requirements of CERCLA Section 121(c).

Naval Complex Long Beach - The Department of the Navy (Navy) is currently conducting a Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) Five-Year Review at the Former Long Beach Naval Complex (LBNC), Long Beach, California. This Five-Year Review is being conducted in accordance with the requirements of CERCLA Section 121(c), the purpose of which is to determine whether the remedies selected in Records of Decision for Installation Restoration Sites 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6A, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13; and the institutional controls identified in the Land Use Control Remedial Design document for IR Site14 remain protective of human health and the environment.
