NAS Alameda -- The U.S. Navy, in coordination with state and federal environmental regulatory agencies, encourages the public to comment on the Proposed Plan for former Naval Air Station (NAS) Alameda Operable Unit 2C, Installation Restoration (IR) Sites 5, 10, and 12, located on Alameda Point in Alameda, California. The Proposed Plan presents the preferred alternatives to address contaminated soil/sediment and groundwater at IR Sites 5 and 10, and recommends no action for IR Site 12.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
The Navy invites interested members of the public to review and comment on the Proposed Plan during the 30-day public comment period, held from October 4 through November 5, 2012. Public comments must be submitted in writing and postmarked or e-mailed no later than November 5, 2012, or provided during the public meeting on October 11, 2012.
