NSY Hunters Point -- The U.S. Department of the Navy, in coordination with state and federal environmental regulatory agencies, encourages the public to comment on its Proposed Plan for cleanup of Parcels E and UC-3 at the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco, California. The Proposed Plan summarizes the remedial (cleanup) alternatives evaluated by the Navy and explains the reasons for identifying the preferred alternatives to address contamination at Parcels E and UC-3.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
The Navy invites interested members of the public to review and comment on the Parcels E and UC-3 Proposed Plan during a Public Comment Period, from February 13, 2013, to March 15, 2013. Public comments must be submitted in writing and must be received no later than March 15, 2013. Alternatively, members of the public are invited to attend a Public Meeting on February 28, 2013, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Public comments to the Proposed Plan will also be accepted at this meeting.
