Public Notice Virtual (RAB) Meeting January 2021

The Department of Navy invites interested members of the public to attend a virtual Restoration Advisory Board (RAB) meeting. The meeting will include updates and presentations with members of the RAB made up of representatives from the local community and the Navy. Federal and State regulatory agencies are also invited to participate, provide updates, and answer questions. The Navy encourages the public to participate and keep informed about the environmental cleanup at the Former Naval Weapons Station Concord (NWS Concord) in Concord, California.

The Department of the Navy (DON) has prepared and filed with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate the potential human and natural environmental consequences associated with the disposal of surplus property at the former Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach Detachment Concord (NWS Concord), in the City of Concord, Contra Costa County, California, and its subsequent proposed reuse by the local community.
