Public Affairs Officer (PAO)
The BRAC point of contact for media queries and responding to members of the general public is the PAO–contact information is listed below.

Media Requests
News media representatives should submit written queries to the email address listed below. Please include a basic description of your story, the questions you'd like answered, your contact information and deadline. After reviewing your request, the PAO will determine if a written response can be provided by your deadline and respond back to you either way. It's important to note that BRAC's primary mission is to cleanup former Navy and Marine Corp properties for transfer back to local communities. Responding to media queries is secondary. Generally you can expect a response to your query to take from a few days to a couple weeks.

In rare instances, the PAO can approve media tours and interviews depending on staff workload and other factors. However, our default method is to require an emailed query as described above. The nature of the environmental clean-up process can be very complex and technical which is why we require written queries by default. It's paramount that we provide you the most accurate information possible and this often takes longer than you might expect.
