The Navy is dedicated to the environmental cleanup at the former Hunters Point Naval Shipyard (HPNS). Scientific testing helps identify areas of contamination that could pose a risk to public health or the environment. We are continuing our methodical, detailed cleanup and retesting on Parcel G, and throughout HPNS sites to address all contamination, both radiological and chemical. The Navy will continue to keep the community informed about ongoing environmental cleanup and retesting efforts.
