The Navy offers sampling to all property owners whose property is within the sampling area and whose drinking water is supplied by a drinking water well.

Property owners and tenants who drink water from a well on a property located within the sampling area may request a sampling appointment by calling (888) 671-2560 or by emailing, NASMemphisPFAS@resolutioncons.com

If your drinking water is provided by the City of Millington, Memphis Light, Gas and Water, or Naval Support Activity (NSA) Mid-South and not from a well, we do not need to sample your drinking water.

At this time, the Navy is only asking to sample private drinking water wells located in the sampling area. Records indicate that most properties within the sampling area are provided drinking water by the City of Millington or Memphis Light, Gas and Water; however, some properties may have private drinking water wells.

If your drinking water is provided by a public water system, the Navy does not need to sample your drinking water. Property owners and tenants should contact the City of Millington Water Department,  Memphis Light, Gas and Water, or NSA Mid-South with any questions regarding treatment and testing of publicly provided drinking water.

The preliminary results from the private drinking water well sampling near NAS Memphis are expected approximately 30 days after collecting the samples. The Navy will provide notification to the property owners and tenants of their drinking water well results and any follow-up actions, if needed. For property owners that have PFAS at or above DoD PFAS interim action levels in their private drinking water wells, the Navy will work with property owners to provide an enduring solution, such as connection to a public water supply or a treatment system, as soon as possible. The Navy will provide bottled water for drinking and cooking to any property in the sampling area with a drinking water well that contains PFOA and PFOS above 70 parts per trillion (ppt) until an enduring solution is implemented.
