The Department of the Navy, in cooperation with the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), has completed the fifth five-year review of the remedies implemented at the Former Naval Surface Warfare Center – Carderock Division - Annapolis Detachment, Former David Taylor Research Center and Bay Head Road Annex Sites. The public was invited to participate in the Five-Year Reviews from 10 June 2024 to 11 December 2024, and no comments or inquiries were received during that time.
The five-year review process concluded with a finding for both sites that the selected remedies are performing as intended and effectively protecting human health and the environment.
