Who We Are


The Department of the Navy Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) Program Management Office (PMO) is responsible for:
  • Serving as the primary liaison with local communities and redevelopment authorities;
  • Overseeing all base closure, realignment, and care taker activities;
  • Developing and implementing plans, priorities, and procedures for base disposals and their associated environmental cleanups;


Organization


The Department of the Navy BRAC PMO director is a civilian member of the Senior Executive Service and is assisted by a deputy. BRAC workload is organized under three regional offices and a support office. – PMO West, Southeast, Northeast, and Support.

BRAC PMO reports directly to the Executive Director of Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC).
